Our Location - The Whitsundays
Allciv Location and AccessibilityAllciv Civil Contractors' Head Office is located in Cannonvale, the commercial hub of the Whitsundays, close to Airlie Beach, Gateway to the magnificent Whitsunday Islands. As a Tourist Destination we have several regional airports close at hand so we are easily accessible from practically anywhere. The Whitsunday Airport in Proserpine is a mere 20 km away and offers daily flights to Brisbane, whilst Hamilton Island is only a short scenic ferry trip from the Mainland and has an Airport which receives commercial flights from Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. Further domestic airports can be found in Mackay (1.5 hours drive South) and Townsville (3 hours drive North). The Whitsundays and Great Barrier ReefThe Whitsundays has a lot to offer both families and singles with the Great Barrier Reef providing excellent boating, diving and fishing opportunities. As the prevailing winds make it a sailors paradise, a bareboat charter is an ideal way to explore the 74 Tropical islands. Besides the fabulous island resorts, many islands are National Parks and have excellent camping facilities, as does Whitehaven Beach with its gleaming white sand. On the Mainland, The Great Whitsunday walk is a must for hikers and the Peter Faust Dam is full of trophy-sized Barramundi, and is a great place to waterski. Both Cannonvale and Airlie Beach have beaches to laze on, an Esplanade/Boardwalk to walk, cycle or run along, and Airlie Beach also has a free lagoon-style swimming pool with separate childrens pool and playground. Cannonvale Beach has a swimming area enclosed by a stinger net and a playground. Picnic tables and BBQ facilities are located all along the Foreshore. More beaches and facilities can be found a short drive away at Dingo or Conway Beaches, and in Bowen. Shopping and DiningAirlie Beach, Cannonvale and Proserpine offer pubs, fabulous cafs, restaurants, local markets and excellent Boutique shopping, as well as the necessary supermarkets (Woolworths, Coles, IGA), chain stores (eg. Target Country, Big W), and all Hardware stores and Banks; Mackay has a large scale shopping centre containing a new Myer and various specialist shopping precincts spread around town. Childcare and SchoolsProserpine and Cannonvale have numerous childcare facilities and three Kindergartens between them, and offer both Private and State School education options for children from Prep to Year 12.
